Mrs. Jessie Florence Strain, 87, died at &;45 a.m. Thursday at Culver Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Parke County July 11, 1878 to Wallace and Minerva Neet Anderson. She married Frank J. Strain March 11, 1900; he preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Charles L. Strain, two daughters, Mrs. Clarice Patton; and Mrs. Evelyn Harte; a brother, Frank Anderson; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchidren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Strain was a member of the 1st Methodist Church, Crawfordsville. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Saturday at Rockville Methodist Church with Rev. Ralph Moore Jones of the 1st Methodist in Crawfordsville officiating. The body will lie in state an hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Memoray Garden in Rockville. Friends may call at the Hunt & Son Funeral HOme, Crawfordsville after noon Friday. - kbz
